Oil painting
Oil painting has always been the center of my work. I am drawn to the richness of the medium, its capacity to hold light, depth, and emotion within each layer. My process begins not with a final image in mind, but with openness: allowing brushstrokes and pigments to guide the painting into being. The slow evolution of oils reflects my belief that art is not about speed or spectacle, but about listening, to the material, the subject, and the silence between them.
Graphite & Charcoal sketching
Charcoal and graphite are where immediacy lives in my practice. These sketches are often beginnings, where ideas emerge in their rawest state, stripped of color and reduced to pure line, shadow, and rhythm. Yet many stand alone as complete works, capturing movement, gesture, or atmosphere with honesty. In their simplicity, these drawings reveal something essential: the hand in motion, the thought as it first arrives, the intimacy of seeing without embellishment.
